I will discuss with you various application options for design, hosting, etc. so we can find the best combination of price, performance, and complexity to meet your needs. I'm open to working with any software you prefer.
Pricing
Note: Prices below do not include expenses such as domain registration fees, web hosting fees, or email hosting fees. Prices say "Starting at" because additional requests, complexity, or alternate software may increase the price. I won't increase prices for no reason and all prices and project scopes will be agreed upon before I begin work, so there won't be any surprises.

FAQs
Before getting started designing your site, I will send a short survey to figure out what kind of design you're looking for. I will also ask for you to provide logos, images, and writing you want to appear on the site (e.g. "About Us" or "Services").
If this is an existing site, I'll need to be added by a current administrator. I can't start until I have access to your domain.
If you're looking to create a new site, I can help find a domain name (e.g. yourcompany.com) and get custom email addresses created.
Unless you have a specific preference, I will create your site using WordPress and host using BlueHost. If you need an online storefront, I will use WooCommerce. I can integrate with whichever payment provider you prefer. I am happy to use any website builder, hosting provider, or storefront you prefer. I enjoy learning new applications. I choose WordPress as a default because 40-50% of sites on the internet use it, so it's well documented and well supported. I use BlueHost because it's very configurable and comes with more options with less expensive plans.
Email can be provided by BlueHost with the Titan app or can be combined with your Microsoft Office subscription. I can also set up Zoho Mail or Google Workspaces if you prefer.
There are plenty of other options I'm willing to work with and can discuss, but the applications linked above are my primary suggestions.
I will not use AI to build your website when it can be avoided.
The development time of your site depends on the complexity and how much you have prepared. For a basic site (<10 pages without a storefront), I can have a first draft ready in under a week if I have all of the logos, styles, and descriptions. For a more complex site with a storefront, payment integrations, or unfamiliar applications, it could take more than a month. I'm willing to help create or vectorize logos or background patterns (I created my logo and the background for this site with just a calculator and a text editor), but that would also take time.
Yes! In the long run, it can be cheaper to host your website on your own hardware. If you're likely to lose online sales from your site being down for a small amount of time, I wouldn't suggest this option. If you own a service business and your site isn't getting tens of thousands of visits per day, though, this may be a good option.
This would require the purchase of a Network Attached Storage (NAS) or the use of an existing computer. I can help with the purchase and install. The NAS would be able to host your site and provide local cloud storage for your business. The upfront cost would be in the $600-$1000 range, but the monthly cost would be closer to $2-$10 (depending on the amount of traffic your site gets).
I charge by the job, not by the time it takes me to complete it. I will work with you on a Statement of Work before providing your quote. Once your website is complete, I will support any issues which are covered within the Statement of Work for 1 month.
